TROPOSPHERE SERIES
“Troposphere” is a series of eight oil paintings on canvas on panel done in 2015-2017.
I make art in search of connections tracing the invisible streams of energy between things making the invisible world visible.
The troposphere is the thin film of atmosphere on the surface of our planet. Coupled with the oceans, it is the Zone of Life on Earth. This watery layer of air where humans have evolved over millennia is the relative thickness of the painted paper on a child’s globe. A mere slip of tender existence, a fragile trifle in the vast chaos of the universe. Yet, our commanding influence on this environment is our legacy to the future of life on our planet.
